Hoping this Thanksgiving you could reflect and count the blessings you do have and appreciate the good that surrounds us all.
This is a time of horrific news out of Paris and senseless killings here at home. It is not exclusive to this time but we focus on it with real time access with all our devices. We mustn't slumber but we can also pay more attention to the little things in life that shine if we are open to them.
Be a light!

Updates, A Summer Review
The last year has been an emotional roller coaster with a "hopeful" turned "disappointing" court case involving my children. Work on the little house slowed considerably as my time and focus were directed towards reuniting with my girls. Someday they may see this little house and I think they will like it.
I did manage to work on a few projects starting in late summer. I reused an old fruit pickers ladder and added some 2x6 cedar board to make steps to the loft. There is a small closet, a rolling storage counter, the kitchen sink and counter, and a desk that can convert to a sitting area. For the most part I used leftover lumber and only bought hardware and a few necessities. All these items turned out a little different than what I had envisioned but all of them can be taken down without too much trouble and the entire place can be reconfigured.
Here's some pics...
Kreg Jigs are great for pocket
holes, highly recommend!
A closet for my work clothes.
...and through the deck
I can put a bucket there and
use the water for the garden.
The rolling storage counter...
(Almost finished)
Drops down for seating, just add memory foam.
Finished porch area..
I started moving things in so that will be the next update...

The finished ladder with
two straps to hold onto
The AC unhooked and two exercise rings
that will be hooked off to the side
My desk with (unfinished) storage underneath

It's Been Too Long
Preparing an update soon, in the mean time here's some news on the tiny house to be built in Pittsburgh's Garfield section...

Update Time
It's been awhile but my computer crashed so updating the blog is not too convenient. It's been crazy lately but I've been able to get some things done on the house here and there. I'm in the middle of getting the lights up and surrounding trim. There's quite a few pics to share, feel free to ask if you have questions about them... Although I'm not sure when I'll be online again.

Winter's Grip!
Truth be told, weather takes no blame for the lack of activity on little house. I'll be back to work soon but there's important business to take care of first. Hope to have some new inside pics for you next week. Take Care and stay warm!

Fall
The last two days have been chilly with misty rain messing with my cold that is lingering. Plus there are other important things going on that require more focus than the little house. I really hope that I can share that with you soon. I was able to get the window trim finished except for a few minor details. The flooring couldn't wait any longer so I got a start on that. As with many aspects of building this tiny house there is a story with almost every phase. The flooring is no different and probably the most heartwarming and touching. Look for that to be told soon when I'm a little healthier and I can properly express my gratitude on this forum.
Let's go to the pics...

Window Trim
It's back to work on the house as I fight a miserable cold and deal with other important life events. Today I was able to start the window trim and hope to finish tomorrow if all goes well. Here are pics of the first two windows.
I had to work around the light switch.
