This morning I managed to get two windows in. Then had to make adjustments to the frame in the bump out to fit the windows. So far I got one in and hoping to get another one before dark.

First Window
It just started to rain as I finished installing the loft window. Also, the Titanium went on the gable ends...

House Wrap
It was a beautiful day in western PA! I caulked the corners and places that needed it before I got the Lowes house wrap on. I then added a layer of the titanium because it is really some tough stuff and I just plain like it! Made two trips to Home Depot and squeezed in a noon time picnic but recovered nicely with the expert help from some young helpers in town from Ohio and Illinois. Didn't quite get to the windows so maybe tomorrow... Here are some pics:

Here are some pics from today. All the plywood is up. Tomorrow I expect to have the house wrap on and at least a few windows in. How about that Super Moon last night! If you missed it you can see it here...

Window Openings!
Today my little house shed it's winter wrap and the dark clouds did not let go a drop. Cut out openings for the windows and put up a few pieces of plywood. The roof panels came in and are ready for the roofers when they are available.
Tomorrow I'll get the last of the plywood up and the house wrap on. Then it'll be time to install the windows!

Okay here's the scoop. If you remember last month (April) I needed to order four additional panels to make each end have a good look. The first end panel locked in perfect to the adjoining panel (from the original order). When Joe got to the other end the last (new) panel wouldn't lock to the adjoining panel.
We discovered the new panels did not have the same standing seam on one edge so Jim and I made a trip to Lowe's with an old and new piece. Once there, a quick call to Union Corrugating by Jon Kaszer (Outstanding employee, he's been great throughout my little project) we found out they changed the dye on April 1st. Did I just get April fooled? Luckily they have some of the old run and I should get it in a week or two. While we were at Lowe's Joe was hard at work placing the remaining panels.
This is what it looks like now...
The ridge cap will go on after the last two panels get here, in the mean time I covered the top with some remaining Titanium ...Big thanks to Jess K to make an easy job of it!
Clamps are a must have, they are extra hands and never get tired!

Didn't finish today, hoping to have a completed roof on Thursday. For now here's the inside by request (SGB)... not anything like how it will be, you'll have to use your imagination. First shot taken from the door looking towards the hitch end. Loft (with a 12 foot ladder up there), bathroom and kitchen. The second pic shows a storage loft and sitting area otherwise known as "The Great Room" haha. Imagine 12 windows in there also.
Alright! Roofing progress! They say they should be able to finish today, I hope so. Here's how it looks so far...
...and one more before I head off to work

Found these two little guys nearby. You don't get to see this every day! Wonder what he's wishing for?
