Let There Be Light!

Not quite finished but I got my outside lights up. Need to get the wire inside tomorrow, for now it's on an extension cord. I'm not sure if the pics do it justice but they look great in person. In the future I'd like to add more led rope lighting underneath.

The dark areas when I turned off the flash are actually lighter in person.

Madylin actually came in the house for the first time...

Updates

It's been a month since I've posted so here's a quick update. Time for work on little house has been cut back. The big house is to be put on the market soon and has it's own list of projects that really need to get done so ...you gotta do what you gotta do...

Here's a few things that I'm excited to share with you that will be included in my tiny. My parents neighbors' were getting rid of their countertop so I was glad to take it off their hands.

It just needs cut down to size and it will be perfect. When I gave my neighbor a tour I told him I wanted to cover it with copper and he remembered he had a roll in his shed for 10 plus years. When we checked it out it was what I was picturing in my head. A small transaction later and it's all mine... Yes I was psyched!

Now on the hunt for a copper bar sink! Next on the agenda is the desk/seating bench. It was in my basement this whole time and I just realized yesterday it would be perfect for what I want to do. I'll explain how I'll use it when it's time, but it'll be sweet. It needs refinished but look how nice this wood will be...

Doesn't look great here but the after refinishing it'll be a gem.

One more item that had me concerned was the shower. I didn't want the conventional (skrew that, right?) but finding something to fit wasn't going to happen easily. Luckily for me the Japanese style Ofuro tub fits just right. I just bought plans from Four Lights Houses  http://www.fourlightshouses.com/products/ofuro-tub . Founded by Jay Shafer, he designed my house when he was at Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. Thank you Jay!

Also picked my interior siding but I'll share that when the order goes in. Have a great day all!
